Introduction

Edmund concentrates on and has over 15 years of experience in construction law and practice including non-contentious contract advisory work and contentious litigation, mediation and arbitration. He is actively acting for developers, contractors (main contractors and sub-contractors) and construction professionals in arbitration, litigation, departmental summons proceedings, disciplinary proceedings and administrative proceedings. In addition, he has handled other cases concerning probate and family disputes, sale of goods, property damage and negligence. 


Edmund is also a qualified civil engineer and a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Prior to joining the legal profession, he had worked as a consultant engineer in an international engineering consultancy firm for five years, and had spent two years working full-time on site for a public works project for the Hong Kong Government.

  • Acting for a PRC property developer in a High Court action against a leading Hong Kong property developer over a multidisciplinary development project located in Shanghai, PRC with the project value exceeding RMB$120 billion
  • Acting for a PRC property developer in Hong Kong legal proceedings against a Hong Kong property developer and its associated companies, in applying for leave to enforce a CIETAC arbitral award in Hong Kong; defending the striking-out application by the other sides; opposing the other sides’ appeal application; and handling taxation proceedings 
  • Acting for a textile manufacturer in a High Court action against its supplier for material damage during transportation
