Edmund concentrates on and has over 15 years of experience in construction law and practice including non-contentious contract advisory work and contentious litigation, mediation and arbitration. He is actively acting for developers, contractors (main contractors and sub-contractors) and construction professionals in arbitration, litigation, departmental summons proceedings, disciplinary proceedings and administrative proceedings. In addition, he has handled other cases concerning probate and family disputes, sale of goods, property damage and negligence. 

Edmund is also a qualified civil engineer and a member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Prior to joining the legal profession, he had worked as a consultant engineer in an international engineering consultancy firm for five years, and had spent two years working full-time on site for a public works project for the Hong Kong Government.

• Advising a Chinese developer on construction contracts using FIDIC forms for various infrastructure projects (such as airport, railway and government buildings) in Angola
• Advising an engineering consultant on drafting construction tender documents adopting NEC3 for a Hong Kong Government infrastructure project
• Advising a PRC bank on a construction agreement in relation to a subway construction at Central MTR Station, Hong Kong

• Acting for Hong Kong Housing Authority in arbitration proceedings against its main contractor regarding a series of public housing development projects
• Acting for a main contractor in arbitration proceedings against a sub-contractor in one of the MTR’s XRL projects
• Acting for a specialist sub-contractor in various arbitration proceedings against the Employer in relation to the M+ Museum project
• Acting for an incorporated owners in arbitration proceedings against the main contractor in relation to a property renovation project
• Acting for a firm of architects in arbitration proceedings against the developer in relation to a hotel development project in Macau
• Acting for a register fire service installation contractor in various court actions concerning a fire incident happened at River Trade Terminal
• Acting for a main contractor in its disputes with the developer in relation to a hospital redevelopment project
• Acting for two main contractors in arbitration proceedings against their two sub-contractors in relation to a number of maintenance contracts for the Hong Kong Airport Authority
• Acting for an employer in a court action against its main contractor in relation to a new building project at Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong
• Acting for an employer in arbitration proceedings against its main contractor in relation to a new building project in San Po Kon, Kowloon

• Acting for a main contractor in arbitration proceedings against the developer in relation to a large fitting out and A&A project 
• Acting for a Hong Kong developer in Appeal Board (Town Planning) proceedings in relation to an application for columbarium use 
• Acting for a Hong Kong developer in Appeal Board (Town Planning) proceedings in relation to an application for an increase of building height 
• Acting for an international developer in the arbitration proceedings which took place in Hong Kong in relation to a multidisciplinary development project in Pyongyang, DPRK and in subsequently in a High Court action for setting aside the arbitral award 
• Acting for a PRC property developer in a High Court action against a leading Hong Kong property developer over a multidisciplinary development project located in Shanghai, PRC with the project value exceeding RMB$120 billion
• Acting for a PRC property developer in Hong Kong legal proceedings against a Hong Kong property developer and its associated companies, in applying for leave to enforce a CIETAC arbitral award in Hong Kong; defending the striking-out application by the other sides; opposing the other sides’ appeal application; and handling taxation proceedings 
• Acting for a textile manufacturer in a High Court action against its supplier for material damage during transportation
